through major awarding bodies.
OCR, the leading

RATIONALE
This vocationally
related qualification is a single, standalone unit, intended to
offer certification of achievement in introductory use of digital
technology and the Internet. It draws on previous BBC Education
campaigns, which use BBC television programmes and supplementary
media (principally CD-ROM and online resources) to motivate and
encourage learners into taking up further learning opportunities.
The qualification
is intended both to act as a worthwhile body of content and achievement
in its own right and to motivate learners to progress to more extended
programmes, acting as a bridge to wider and/or higher level qualifications
and associated courses.
